This is Michael @halfmoonyoga58 - the newest teacher to #theyogaextension. Michael will be running our #yogaforlunch classes every Thursday from 12.45-1.35pm.
You can book directly by following our link in the bio and going to ‘classes and events’.
Here’s a little more about Michael:

Michael discovered yoga by accident, going along to a class at the Glasgow Buddhist Centre to recuperate from a football injury. He started going to Iyengar yoga classes in 2013, and decided to join the new mentoring system in 2020, qualifying as a Level 1 teacher in 2023.

Iyengar yoga focuses on proper alignment and precise technique and Michael hopes to help his students get the benefits of strength, concentration and body awareness.

If there is no sense of humor, I think that life is not worth living.
The whole world, the human nature is that it wants sense of humor, so we live in sense of humor and that's a way which one's life gets accelerated to live with happiness.
So therefore I say, sense of humor is a must even in a philosopher.

About Iyengar yoga & Iyoga Glasgow

An iYoga Glasgow class takes an holistic approach to yoga. We use precise physical postures (asanas) and breathing (pranayama) to balance body and mind. It’s a challenging, but not competitive, practice. We focus on the alignment of the body, while taking into account each practitioner’s needs. Yoga is beneficial for people of all ages, regardless of their physical condition. Practising yoga relaxes and energises. Iyengar provides an unshakeable foundation for physical and mental well being.

B.K.S Iyengar developed and practised Iyengar Yoga until his death at the age of 95 in Pune, India. Time Magazine listed him as one of the most influential 100 people in the world. Yoga is an ancient, tried and tested, system of personal development. Mr Iyengar’s system is based on the 1,700 year old teachings of the guru Patanjali.

We are members of Iyengar Yoga (UK) – The National Iyengar Yoga Association.
