I did some yoga in my twenties when participating in Transcendental Meditation. I kept it up occasionally until I reached fifty, when running injuries and intermittent back pain brought me to Iyengar Yoga. After 10 years of attending classes at the Western Baths I figured that teaching yoga would help me embed the practice into my life. It was a long road to succeed in passing my teaching qualification, but I believe I’m a better teacher for it! Iyengar yoga has helped me with many minor ailments, and I’m even running again. The combination of my own practice, my regular teaching and attending classes with local teachers helps me sustain my body and calm my mind. I love to share this with others and enjoy seeing them reap the benefits too.
